Guidelines for STACIES

On Blogging and Writing...

Weekly Required Posts:

1) A post to your library, in which you post about something which is new and interesting to you, perhaps interesting to us. There needs to be an included link to an article or a video, or some such. This is a chance for you to share what is important to you. The cycle on this is from Monday to Friday

2) Each Monday there will be a "blog assignment" sent via email. You have to complete this assignment by Friday.

3) There is one required free post a week - blog about whatever you wish as long as it is "STAC-ish." You have to have this posted by Sunday.

4) 2) Comment on two classmate's posts that are interesting and expansive to you. The cycle on this is Friday to Sunday.

You can always blog about whatever you feel as long as it is "STAC-ish." There will be some weeks where there are more blog assignments; there will never be weeks where there are less.

Blog assignments are about discipline and knocking things out, as such, the concern here is on getting done on time rather than quality. Go for quantity, quality will grow from that. 

This is really really important. So important that if you don't complete ALL the blog assignments the highest grade you can get for the quarter is B-ish.

Writing Guidelines:

1) There is no excuse for misspellings on either blog posts or emails to me.

2) There is no use of "text speak" on either blog posts or emails to me.

3) You're allowed to make grammatical or syntax errors ONCE. Once you are corrected, you cannot make that error again.

4) You're too young to have a prose style. So for now, we will concern ourselves with being clear and knowing the rules.
