Dance Audition

Dance: you must submit a video of you performing a dance that you know well, no more than 3 minutes in length. It can be in any style from ballet to jazz to tap to hip hop to Kathak, etc. Don't record yourself free styling around the basement. We want to see you performing a dance such that we can evaluate form, ability, etc.

As an alternative, if you have a good, clean sounding and clear looking video of you performing live in a concert or musical situation, you can use that for your audition. It must be you dancing solo, duo, or trio, not as part of a big ensemble, and please trim it to less than 3 minute in length. As an example, something like this is acceptable: solo dance example

You may also include 30-45 seconds of dance improvisation to the song "21 Guns" by Green Day — here is a link to that song. The improvisation is not mandatory.

Please slate the beginning of your video by recording yourself saying your name and grade.

Your finished audition video starts with your slate, then one take of your performance, then your improvisation if you decide to do that. The whole thing should be about 3 minutes long.
